I couldnt tolerate it any more after seeing repeated advertisements of Amitabh Bacchan indirectly campaigning for the criminal corrupt non-performing samajwadi party headed by country’s one of the most corrupt politicians Mulayam Singh Yadav, a chief minister against whom the country’s Supreme Court has ordered an enquiry into his amassed wealth of proportions that could make entire UP a developed state in no time!!!
Mr Amitabh Claims that ‘Jurm Yaha Hai Kam’ which means crime rate is low in UP!!! Lets analyse this joke of the year..
Here are some facts….
1. The whole country knows about this cold blooded serial killing of innocent children. At Nithari in UP over 38 children were abducted, killed and buried in a drain mercilessly. Police complaints by the parents about their missing children fell on deaf ears till one day when all the children turned up in the grave.
Why was the killer spared? Bcos he was a influential millionaire industrialist, who used to sip whiskey sprinkled with gold flakes.
Also 4 women were killed in this worst serial killing case. The accused is supposed to have said in the lie detector test that he also ate parts of children’s bodies!!! The modus operandi was entice a child into the `farmhouse’, used basically as a holiday `stud’ resort by the millionaire, rape and murder him or her, cut him into pieces and dump the bag in the drain that ran behind the house
If this is less crime then what more has to be done to make it look really criminal Mr Amitabh?
2. When Nithari crime was unearthed, the UP chief minister’s brother who is also a minister in the state government says ‘This happens everywhere in India’!! According to him, the mindless cold blooded murder of children is common in India!! And Mr Amitabh is supporting this Samajwadi Party..
3. Murders: 7000 to 7,500 per year in UP
4 Occupancy of Muzzafarnagar district jail in UP: over 1100 prisoners
Capacity of Muzzafarnagar district jail in UP: 530 prisoners
Number of prisoners jailed in 60 prisons in Uttar Pradesh: over 50,000
5. Number of Uttar Pradesh’s MLAs who have been through processes of the law reserved for criminals: 205 (of a total of 403 MLAs – Member of the Legislative Assembly)
6. Can anybody forget the recent ‘Operation Majnu’ in Meerut,UP where couples were beaten up and harrassed by the POLICE in a local park! Police unable to prevent crime have started doing moral patrol. Unable to catch the criminals they are throwing out their anger on innocent couples! Mr Amitabh what happened to all those romantic roles you played in your movies??
7. In 2006 alone 3641 children were reported missing according to official complaints lodged!! Of these 82 were found dead!! More than 700 untraceable !! The amount of missing children is so much in UP that the police are considering launching a website to register details about missing children!!!! Wah bhai wah
8. In Ballia in UP on Feb 21, 13 women labourers were raped in Bheempur police circle. Look what Superintendent of police (SP) Ballia Ikram-ul-Haq told the media when asked about the rape. He said ” Bheempur mein to bus ek awaidh sharab ki bhatti pakadi gayee hai”(only a factory producing illicit countrymade liquor has been unearthed). And when media asked about the incident, this is what the locals said ” the police have been on their toes to somehow strike a “truce” between the victims and the accused who claim to be close associates of a Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA who is presently a minister in Mulayam cabinet”
(Src: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Cities/Lucknow/Mass_rape_exposes_UP_crime_situation/articleshow/1670368.cms )
9. Kidnapping is the most lucrative livelihood in many parts of UP especially Chambal region. http://www.ndtv.com/morenews/showmorestory.asp?category=National&id=100765
10. Basic Education Minister Kiran Pal Singh of UP government is under CBI investigation in connection with the mysterious disappearance and alleged murder of a Meerut lecturer Kavita Rani. On February 14, former UP minister Mehrajuddin Ahmed was subjected to lie-detector test in connection with the case. This case also had earlier UP food minister Minister Babu Lal resign from the government. Just look at how many MINISTERS are involved in a single murder case of a woman!! Jurm Kam Hai Amitabh ji???
11. After announcing elections, the Election Commission (EC) of India has asked the UP state govt to furnish details like the number of illegal factories making country-made weapons, illicit liquor manufacturing units, the number of criminals out on parole and the number of criminals arrested with explosives!!
12. National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has demanded a report from the Uttar Pradesh government seeking an explanation as to why cases of 38 missing children, as reported by the media, were not investigated by the authorities!
13. Recently, two young lovers were bludgeoned to death and their bodies sliced into pieces and burnt in an Naharra near Agra in UP because the community believed their relationship was incestuous. This is just an example, and is common in rural UP where couples dont have a freedom to chose their life partners!
14. “Most of the cocaine, hashish and marijuana come from Uttar Pradesh” say Calcutta police!
15. “UP police stocks cartridges to murder an innocent man” – http://www.ahrchk.net/ua/mainfile.php/2006/1438/
16. On February 28 2006, Mehar Bhargava, wife of a senior politician was fatally shot and killed when she lashed out at four men for passing obscene remarks at her daughter-in-law.
17. The increasing amount of female foeticide in UP has brought down the male female ratio of the state to 888 females per 1000 males which if not checked immediately will lead to more crime on women in the years to come…
Now let me stop here as I have started sounding like a crime reported while actually these are some news snippets I remembered by just watching news channels regularly… I am sure there is lot more crime that has gone uncovered in the state.
While all these are happening, Mr Amitabh says that Crime rate is low in UP!! Was that an ad that was made to sound like a joke?
Its a pity that a person of Amitabh’s stature has become a brand ambassador for a crime centric, corrupt party full of MLAs with criminal records which in fact was a mute spectator when the killings of the children in Nithari were on…
Mr Amitabh, dont let your stature go down in the eyes of the people of this country by misusing ur popularity to distort the facts just because Mr Amar Singh of Samajwadi Party is your friend. If he is your friend, go to his house have some snacks and make a party.
Dont think the people of UP are so foolish to believe anything and everything just because Mr Amitabh is saying it. It takes a lot more than acting to become a real life hero!!, the least being honest to one’s self while speaking out things..
Atleast now please go and apologise in the media for being a brand ambassador of a criminal rule …
And for those residents of UP who still want to go and vote for the Samajwadi Party, you will be responsible for all the more crime in the aftermath..
Spread the word to get the most populous state of India out of the criminals clutches.. show ‘UP waalon main dham hai’

[...] Which is why I say, second to potatoes, the most under-valued vegetable has to be peas (Matar/Watana/Watano). Think about it. When was the last time your inventory didn’t have the requisite packet of frozen peas in them or when was the last time you used that packet? Can’t really have been that long, if you cook Indian on a regular basis. And yet, quite like the potato, it is never given it’s due. Of course, the potato stopped getting any sympathy from me the day it decided to weave a alliance with a certain someone whose name rhymes with Aloo. Don’t get me wrong. In these times of brand development and media-franchising, I understand potato’s need for some PR-giri. “Jab tak rahega samose mein aloo, tab tak rahega Bihar mein Laloo” is the wrong way to get it, though. The right way would be to hire Amitabh Bachchan as your Brand ambassador. If I were the Peas’ PR, I would have Amitabh Bachchan saying, “Matar mein hai dum, kyunki carbs in mein hai kam!”. [...]

13. Recently, two young lovers were bludgeoned to death and their bodies sliced into pieces and burnt in an Naharra near Agra in UP because the community believed their relationship was incestuous. This is just an example, and is common in rural UP where couples dont have a freedom to chose their life partners! -> Regarding this , their marriage was declared incestuous because they were of the same gotra . Now what I have been told , that people belonging to the same gotra are kind of like brothers/sisters and have some common genes , so the union of 2 people from the same gotra might not produce a healthy offspring . Is there any truth in it . Please comment on it .

Thats very brutal Kislay. Such illiterate and arrogant people must be immediately caught and imprisoned for life. But they are sadly never brought to justice as even the administration feel that the young couple did a mistake and needed to be punished that way. All we as Indians from other parts of the country can do is pray that our friends in UP and Bihar get better governance and inturn such acts of brutality are punished severly. But its also duty of we as citizens to not blindly follow traditions by acting in such manner.
Regarding your doubts on gotra, yes in Hinduism it is recommended that persons from same gotra not marry as there are chances that similar genes can cause some problems with respect to offsprings. This hasnt yet been investigated scientifically. But genetic science does accept that an offspring of two cousins can have some genetic disorders. There has been a common practice of not marrying a person who is related to you within the previous 7 generations as genes uptill then might be similar as that of a sister and brother. This needs tremendous scientific investigation which I hope will happen very soon.
Gotra simply means a lineage of that family. Hence everyone in that lineage is considered to be sisters and brothers. There is one more logical reason for mot marrying within this lineage. In a particular Gotra one would be having some traditions and would be following a set of principles. Hence when two persons from the same gotra meet there isnt much interesting happening, but if they are from different gotra, the offspring might be influenced by two different sets of ideals, traditions, environments, which makes the child more adaptable to the society at large and hence would turn out to be broad-minded. This is like saying that if a north-indian marries a south-indian then the offspring is treated to aspects of both cultures and hence would grow up to be a true global citizen. These were my personal views.

That is exactly what I want to know . These things should be looked into scientifically and verified . There is a need to find out whether there is any truth in it or not .

Vijay
The elections of UP where Samajwadi party lost completely inspite of Amitabh’s such appeals in its favor makes it clear that the UP people dont care for what he says… he is only a filmi hero
